World Summit on Sustainable Development Benefits from Sennheiser Conference Technology

From August 19 to September 4, 2002 Johannesburg will host the World Summit on Sustainable Development. Comprised of the inter-governmental U.N. Summit and the Global Forum for non-governmental organizations, the summit will focus on topics such as environment, energy, healthcare, poverty, human rights and sustainable development. Together with the French communication company I.S Communication, German audio specialist Sennheiser will equip the Global Forum with conference and sound reinforcement technology.

Sennheiser and I.S Communication are cooperating with CSS, the World Summit’s Civil Society Secretariat, which expects to welcome about 50,000 participants from all over the world to the Global Forum. I.S Communication and Sennheiser will provide conference equipment as well as all microphone requirements for the forum, with Sennheiser also offering its technical advice and systems planning service. As Rolf Meyer, President Marketing and Sales at Sennheiser, points out: “We are very pleased to assist the Global Forum in its important tasks and demonstrate our support for the issues of sustainable development.”
