Product Highlights at the IBC 2001

Concentrated monitoring and outstanding communication even in very noisy surroundings are now possible with a new series of headphones and headsets from Sennheiser. Their rugged, practical design and maximum comfort make the HD 280 headphones and the HMD 280 and HMD 281 headsets indispensable in day to day audio work.

HD 280 Professional Headphones
The HD 280 Professional monitoring headphones have been specially developed for broadcasting and ENG applications. They offer the user excellent insulation from ambient noise with a linear, precise reproduction of the audio material – which also makes them an ideal choice for DJs. The collapsible ear pieces ensure space-saving transport as well as allowing single-ear monitoring. The soft, circumaural ear pads guarantee that the headset remains comfortable even after long periods of listening. All wearing parts, such as the single-sided coiled cable, the ear pads and the headband padding, are available as spare parts and are easy to replace. If required, the HD 280 Professional can be easily upgraded to a monitoring headset.

HMD 280 Professional Headset
With the HMD 280 Professional, rental companies and users from the field of broadcasting and electronic news gathering now have a headset that combines the outstanding monitoring properties of the HD 280 with excellent communication. The comfortable, light-weight headset is ideally suited for professional live presentations and reporting, both for talkback applications and in intercom systems. The headset has a super-cardioid microphone with especially low structure-borne noise properties which can be worn on either side. The microphone’s high directivity ensures that speech can be clearly transmitted even in extremely noisy surroundings.

HMD 281 Professional Headset
The HMD 281 Professional is a single-sided monitoring headset that has been specially developed for talkback applications in combination with film and TV cameras.
