NO ANGELS on tour with Sennheiser microphones
The audio specialist Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG is sponsoring the ”Rivers of Joy” tour by the top German act NO ANGELS. ”Once again we are proving that stars on their way to international fame can count on the professional support and outstanding products from Sennheiser”, explains Rolf Meyer, President of Marketing and Sales at Sennheiser.
Fans of NO ANGELS, currently Germany’s most popular girl group, are thrilled: their stars – who until now could be seen for the most part ”only” at festivals – are finally about to start a major German tour. Dates are also planned for Austria and Switzerland. From October 19 to December 10 2001, Nadja, Vanessa, Lucy, Jessica and Sandy will delight audiences with their Number One hits ”Daylight In Your Eyes”, ”Rivers of Joy” and their latest single ”There Must Be An Angel”, taken from their hit album ”Elle’ments”.
NO ANGELS are the first German band in pop history to top the single, album and radio charts in three European countries within a week. So it comes as no surprise that tickets for the concerts are in great demand. And the tour promises to be a mega-show: NO ANGELS embody spirit, earth, air, fire and ice and, together with a live band and dancers, they put on a perfect stage show. A special bonus: the group A*TEENS will appear as a support band at many of the concerts.
The power-packed live show is supported by sophisticated lighting and video technology. And on the audio side, Sennheiser will ensure that the sound is perfect too, with their ”evolution wireless” microphone systems. The performers will use classic wireless microphones and pocket transmitters with head-worn microphones. This not only provides excellent sound quality but also ensures that the artists are free to move in order to perform their dances.
As Robert Schwarz, sound engineer for NO ANGELS points out: ”Sennheiser’s wireless technology is unsurpassed world-wide. Its already proverbial reliability provides us with optimum sound quality and maximum transmission reliability for the band’s live performances.”
As the world’s leading manufacturer of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems, the Sennheiser Group with its headquarters in Wedemark near Hanover, Germany, had total sales of approx. DM 396 million in 2000. The export share is 80%. Sennheiser has a total workforce of approx. 1,300 employees, of whom about 61% are employed in Germany. Sennheiser is active world-wide and, in addition to other partnerships, has its own sales subsidiaries in France, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, China, Singapore, Canada, Mexico and the USA.
