Sennheiser at IFA 2009 Mobile music and digital audio transmission

At IFA 2009, Sennheiser is focusing on mobile music and digital transmission technology. The audio specialist is showcasing several new headphones for portable players at this year's International Consumer Electronics show in Berlin, while Sennheiser Communications will be showing new headsets for mobile phones. The four top-of-the-range products are equipped with Bluetooth-technology for wireless music enjoyment while on the move. In addition to the highlights in the portable sector, Sennheiser will once again be presenting its HD 800 premium headphones and further product innovations at IFA, one of the world's leading shows for consumer electronics.

The following is a brief foretaste of the new products that visitors will be able to see — and of course hear — at the Sennheiser stand:

Mobile music: PX 210 BT, MM 400 and MM 100

No matter whether they are connected to a mobile phone or an MP3 player, the PX 210 BT, MM 400 and MM 100 guarantee perfect sound when you're on the move. The PX 210 BT headphones have been specially designed for enjoying music from portable players, and their powerful neodymium magnets provide a detailed, lifelike sound image and a frequency response of 15 to 22,000 Hertz. The new apt-X audio codec ensures that audio data are transmitted with outstanding audio quality.

The MM 400 headset combines optimum sound quality with faultless voice transmission. Its Bluetooth technology allows the headset to be used not only with mobile phones but also with laptops. The MM 100 Bluetooth headset with its fixed neckband is the ideal choice for all those who want to enjoy sports and other activities and still remain reachable at all times. "Both Bluetooth headsets are easy to operate and very comfortable." says Guido Karbautzki, Head of Sales and Marketing from Sennheiser Communications. "With the MM 400 and the MM 100 we provide music lovers with stereo headsets, which give them freedom to move and excellent Sennheiser sound. - Enjoy music and never miss a call."

Relaxed travelling: PXC 310, PXC 310 BT and MM 450 TRAVEL

Newcomers to the Sennheiser product range in August are the PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT travel headphones and the MM 450 TRAVEL headset. No matter which model one chooses their proven Sennheiser acoustics and patented NoiseGard™ 2.0 technology offer optimum sound quality even in noisy surroundings. As a further feature, the PXC 310 BT for the first time combines all the advantages of travel headphones with the Bluetooth apt-X audio codec. The MM 450 TRAVEL from Sennheiser Communications makes sure that you can always be reached by phone wherever you are. You simply push a button to accept an incoming call.

Genuine all-rounders: the new HD headphones
Whether you are at home or out and about, the five new HD-models from Sennheiser always offer superb audio quality. The sound has been optimised for MP3 players and other portable audio equipment, but they are also ideally suited for use with a home hi-fi system — the perfect combination for those who are looking for multipurpose headphones. And they not only sound good, they also look good. The HD 448, HD 438, HD 428, HD 418 and HD 408 each have their own individual, eye-catching design.

Gaming to go: PC 300 G4ME

Until now, it was difficult to combine excellent sound for gaming and minimum weight for taking it wherever you go. But the PC 300 G4ME now offers the best of both worlds: the incredibly slim design of new in-ear headset with its integrated microphone and volume control means that it takes up about as much space as a matchbox — and yet it offers outstanding sound quality for gaming, telephoning or listening to music from a laptop.

VoIP on! With the new Sennheiser Communications headsets for your PC
Two new PC products, PC 100 and PC 11, will also launch at IFA. The PC 100 is a perfect all-round in-ear headset for enjoying music in the train on your way to work, telephoning with business partners over the internet or gaming in the evening. The PC 11 is an affordable new VoIP headset. Ultra-lightweight and comfortable on either ear, it is the ideal single-sided headset for internet telephony and dictation.
