Sennheiser starts its Sound Tour in North America
Innovative "Hear. I am." campaign brings the premium brand to life
For millions of sound lovers around the world, the name Sennheiser stands for listening pleasure and the joy of music. Audio specialist Sennheiser is now bringing the brand to life in the USA and Canada with a ground-breaking campaign, The Sennheiser Sound Tour.
The Sennheiser Sound Tour promises to be a fantastic competition: Aaron, Adrian, Jon, Po, Rodrigo and Scotty are sure that they are more than a match for Denise, Jolene, Lili, Nicole, Natalie and Sara; but this just makes the girls laugh! |
Two teams - six boys and six girls - have been given the task of turning on as many people as possible to the quality sound of Sennheiser headphones. Each week they compete in a task that pits them against each other creating fun antics along the way. The exploits of the daring dozen can be experienced live by the public in The United States and Canada and viewed by the rest of the world via the Sennheiser Sound Tour Website www.sennheisersoundtour.com as well as through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. |
Bringing Sennheiser to life
"With the Sennheiser Sound Tour we are breaking new ground", explains Susanne Seidel, who is responsible for Sennheiser's International Marketing. "It's a lively mixture of a road trip, a competition and consumer engagement that brings Sennheiser to life in a really fun way. Extensive media, from social media to radio, television and print reporting will engage the public to learn more about Sennheiser."
The campaign was developed in collaboration with the Canadian marketing agency The Jetstar Group. "The theme for the campaign "Hear. I am." reflects the self-image of the consumer. They have found their sound and have confidence in it.", points out Seidel.
Summerfest makes a great launching pad
The launch of the Sennheiser Sound Tour took place at Summerfest in Milwaukee, the home of the largest music festival in the world. The teams of boys and girls worked together at the festival - but from that point it becomes a competition to secure victory and prizes. Both teams will be visiting more than 30 locations over the next three months including stops at festivals, retail outlets and tourist attractions. Fun, special offers and extensive sound trials are guaranteed.

The girls will be tackling the East Coast, while the boys take their Sennheiser truck down the West Coast. "I am really looking forward to the weekly updates from the teams on the Sound Tour website", laughs Stefanie Reichert, VP Strategic Marketing for Sennheiser USA. Anne Joyce, Director of Marketing for Sennheiser Canada adds: "We have a diverse cast of characters on the teams - a professional surfer, a photographer, an actor, a pro gamer and musicians. They complement each other perfectly and that promises to bring exciting 'webisodes' and thrilling Sennheiser experiences for us all." |
